Michele A Ross, Fine Artist
Michele was born in Bangkok Thailand into a military family and with them traveled and lived in many countries which has greatly influenced her artistic viewpoint. She has been drawing and painting since she was a young child. Her first exposure was from her father who was a very  talented and prolific painter himself. Through him she fell in love with the idea of communicating beauty through paint and was encouraged to do so.
Michele received training at Sacramento City College, various private teachers, and at
Mission:Renaissance Fine Art School in Glendale California. Her extensive travels and her experience as a photographer have enhanced her  curiosity and thirst for subject matter to paint.

"One of my absolute favorite subject matters to paint are coastal and island settings. Whether in Greece, Hawaii or the Scottish Hebrides, that combination of bright water, moody sky, and a distinct culture is enchanting and makes me want to take brush to paper every time. I was born in Thailand and grew up traveling, so its part of my experience to have a great appreciation for the tremendous variety of beauty to be had in all of earth's cultures. I have a strong purpose to bring a a sense of beauty and peace to our often troubled planet."

A master of tone and color, Michele's rich depiction of the diverse locales that she loves is valued by many. It is her wish to share the abundant beauty to be found in the rich and varied settings across the planet.
           Michele lives with her
husband and two cats in Southern California. She travels, camera and brushes in hand,  every chance she can.
